Founded on Generations of Experience
Holcomb Mountain Homes was founded by Joshua Holcomb, a third-generation carpenter with lifelong ties to the construction industry in Western North Carolina. Joshua grew up working under his uncle’s supervision as an assistant superintendent on multimillion-dollar custom home projects throughout the mountain region.
Through years of hands-on experience, he learned the importance of proper building methods, coordination between trades, and maintaining high standards across every phase of construction. Working alongside skilled tradesmen shaped his approach to building with precision, structure, and long-term durability in mind.
Choosing Quality Over Rapid Growth
As the company Joshua worked for expanded quickly, he witnessed how rapid growth can sometimes compromise craftsmanship and attention to detail. That experience reinforced the belief that quality should always come before volume.
In 2019, Joshua began building custom spec homes with a focus on doing things correctly from start to finish. Attention to detail, consistency, and accountability became the foundation of every project. Over time, he assembled a reliable team capable of handling a wide range of residential construction needs.

Holcomb Mountain Homes provides turnkey residential construction services, managing projects from the ground up. From grading and foundation work through framing, interior construction, and final finishes, we oversee each phase with hands-on involvement and consistent oversight.
